The Art of Storage: A Chest of Drawers for Every Home

Whether you're furnishing a compact guest room or a sprawling master suite, the right chest of drawers does more than store — it sets the tone for the entire space. At Style My Home, we've curated four signature ranges so that every home, large or small, finds its perfect match. And with every piece built on smooth metal runners for effortless, lasting use, these are investments in timeless quality. Each of the chests have a matching bedside table option, not that its always necessary to match your bedside and chest styles.

The Ascot Range — Geometric Glamour

The Ascot range is for those who love a touch of drama. Its signature geometric fretwork with a diagonal diamond design instantly elevates any bedroom, while the classic brass knobs add classic detailing that will never date.

Ascot Four Drawer Chest (from $1,999 AUD) Standing taller and narrower at 120cm W x 50cm D x 108cm H, the four-drawer option is perfectly proportioned for smaller spaces that still deserve a statement piece.

Ascot Six Chest Of Drawers (from $2,199 AUD) The six-drawer version stretches to 152cm wide, offering generous storage for larger rooms without sacrificing an ounce of style.

Both are available in Satin White or Whitewash Oak.

The Regency Range — Timeless Elegance

If classic never goes out of style, the Regency range is proof. Defined by its iconic top moulding, turned legs, and brass handles, this is a range built to be passed down through generations — as at home in a heritage property as it is in a modern coastal retreat.

Regency Four Drawer Chest (from $1,999 AUD) At 120cm W x 50cm D x 108cm H, this taller silhouette is ideal for rooms where floor space is at a premium. Four deep drawers on smooth metal runners keep everything organised and effortlessly accessible.

Regency Seven Drawer Chest Of Drawers (from $2,399 AUD) The showstopper of the range. At 152cm wide with seven drawers — four large, two medium, and one small — this piece is a masterclass in organised living. A dedicated space for everything, from folded linen to everyday essentials.

The Sophia Range — Effortless Grandeur

Another classic choice, the Sophia Extra Long Chest Of Drawers is a true anchor piece.

Sophia Extra Long Chest Of Drawers (from $2,399 AUD) At a generous 183cm wide, this is our longest chest of drawers, crafted from Birchwood (Satin White) or American Oak (Whitewash Oak). Six equally sized drawers on metal runners sit beneath turned legs and round brass handles, creating a look that's both refined and relaxed. The ultimate choice for a master bedroom that calls for presence.

The Elliot Range — Clean, Contemporary Lines

For those who prefer a more pared-back aesthetic, the Elliot range delivers understated sophistication with a structured square profile and clean, unfussy lines.

Elliot Large Chest Of Drawers (from $2,099 AUD) At 160cm W x 50cm D x 87cm H, this six-drawer chest offers serious storage in a sleek, modern silhouette. Removable drawers on smooth metal runners and warm brass hardware keep it practical without compromising on style — a versatile piece that works equally well in a contemporary or coastal bedroom, large or small.

How to Measure for Your Chest of Drawers

Getting the fit right before you buy saves a lot of headaches. Here's what to check:

1. Width Measure the wall space where the piece will sit. Allow at least 10–15cm on either side for breathing room and visual balance. Our range spans from 120cm (Ascot & Regency Four Drawer) up to 183cm (Sophia Extra Long), so there's an option for every wall.

2. Depth Most of our chests sit around 47–53cm deep. Make sure to account for clearance in front — you'll need enough room to fully open drawers, typically an additional 50cm of clear floor space.

3. Height Consider what will sit on top and if there are any constraints such as windows. Our chests range from 84cm to 108cm high. As a guide, a chest that sits at or just below hip height tends to feel most proportional in a bedroom.

4. Doorways & Hallways Before delivery day, measure your doorframes, hallways, and any tight corners the piece will need to navigate. Note the diagonal measurement too — this is often the critical number when moving furniture through doorways.

5. Visual Proportion A good rule of thumb: your chest of drawers should occupy roughly two-thirds of the wall it sits on. Too narrow and it can look lost; too wide and it can feel cramped.

No matter the size of your home or the scale of your bedroom, there's a Style My Home chest of drawers built for it — crafted with care, finished beautifully, and designed to last.
