This project involved styling a beautiful modern Hamptons home in Benowa, Queensland. A newly built five-bedroom residence, the home features warm timber flooring, crisp white wainscoted walls and a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area that forms the heart of family life.
The brief was to transform this expansive space into a home that felt warm, welcoming and lived in, while complementing the home's timeless architectural details. The styling focused on introducing layers of texture, carefully selected furniture and thoughtfully placed décor to add character, charm and functionality without compromising the light, open feel of the home.
Every piece was chosen with family living in mind, creating inviting spaces for everyday life as well as entertaining. The result is a timeless, elegant interior that balances practicality with warmth, making the home feel effortlessly comfortable and beautifully finished.
The living room was designed to feel warm, inviting and effortlessly timeless. Classic Hamptons-style sofas upholstered in premium oatmeal linen create a soft, neutral foundation, complemented by a white and grey wool rug that adds warmth and texture underfoot.
A natural oak coffee table introduces warmth and balance to the space, while two blue and white striped armchairs provide a subtle pop of colour and reinforce the home's coastal-inspired aesthetic. Positioned behind the sofa, a classic console table adds both function and visual interest, creating an additional styling surface while helping to define the open-plan layout.
Designed as the heart of the home, the open-plan kitchen and dining area balances everyday functionality with timeless style. A round natural oak dining table anchors the dining space, creating an inviting setting for family meals and entertaining.
